Editor’s Message

Hi, everyone. Happy New Year! We have three very interesting articles in this edition.

T.R.Girill, an STC Fellow, published a paper in the December 2006 IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication (Vol. 49, No. 4) about building science-relevant literacy with technical writing in high school. We are delighted to reprint that paper here.

Helen Cheung, our EBSTC President-Elect, published an article in the December 2006 – February 2007 issue of TransAlpiner, the quarterly newsletter of the STC TransAlpine chapter, about her recent experience at the STC Region 2 International Conference in London. We are delighted to reprint that article here.

Guy Ball, a member of the Orange County STC chapter, published an article on creating a video web seminar in TechniScribe, the OCSTC chapter newsletter. We are delighted to reprint that article here.

We will also need interesting things to publish on a continuing basis. Anything you can offer will be received gratefully.
