Genre Conventions in Documentation Contributor Support – 4 October 2018 [Meeting]

In this talk, Claire Lundeby will discuss various types of support, both published materials and otherwise, for documentation contributors to open-source software projects. She will review shared characteristics for such published materials, in an attempt to identify genre conventions, as well as provide an overview of material provided by multiple open-source project communities and open-source documentation contribution events.

About Our Speaker

Claire Lundeby is a Technical Writer for Veeva Systems, in Pleasanton. She started there in May 2016 and focuses on the Vault Clinical Data Management system suite of products. She has a master’s degree in Technical Communication from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She lives in Oakland with her cat, Hazel. She is active with Write the Docs and an STC dabbler.
